Dear Members, I am honoured to have been elected President of the Byron
Bay Golf Club and I look forward to serving our community in this role. The 2026 Board comprises Sam Leo - President, Fiona Grigg – Vice President, Andrew Priestley - Captain, Mark Wilson (Life Mbr) – Vice Captain and Directors, Ivan Clarke, Jonathon Priestley, Jason Rutter, Cameron Clyne and David Chegwyn. I would like to sincerely thank our outgoing Board members, President - Greg Lambert, Jason Gilmore, Steve Anderson and Peter Campbell — for
their valuable contribution and dedication to the club. This year, the Board focus will be on strengthening
transparency, communication, and member engagement. We want members to feel
informed, included, and confident in the direction of their club. To support this direction please find linked further planned initiatives. As President, my commitment is to lead with openness and
professionalism, and to work with the Board to define a clear club vision
supported by both annual and long-term milestones. Lastly, it is with great sadness we acknowledge the
resignation of Shaun Cross. After more than 20 year's exceptional service and leadership
in managing our course, Shaun has accepted a new role with Toro. On behalf of
the entire club, we thank him sincerely and wish him every success in the next
