🏌️♂️ NEW CLUB COURSE RECORD | DYLAN STOLLERY – 68 (-4) 🏆🔥
Some rounds are good.
Some rounds are memorable.
And then… every now and then… someone produces a round that resets the benchmark for everyone.
Today, Dylan Stollery (playing off +2) stepped onto the black marker back tees, played it as it lies, and delivered something truly special — a new Byron Bay Golf Club course record: 68… four under par.
And let’s be honest… when there’s only 68 shots in the entire day, it’s almost impossible to single out *one* moment. The truth is, the whole round was a pleasure to watch — composed, confident, and effortlessly pure.
But “effortless” is the part people don’t see.
Because the shots Dylan hit today — the iconic approach play, the laser-like accuracy, the putting line and speed that looked like it was guided by GPS — that only comes from the hours of work done quietly in the background, long before anyone’s watching.
And then came the finish…
For Dylan, today’s last hole was the 9th — and it had everything.
Alongside the day’s event, a small side comp was running between a group of members. Richard Gregg sat in the clubhouse holding the lead with a net 69.
So Dylan arrives on the final green knowing the story isn’t finished yet.
10 feet above the cup.
A crowd gathering.
Phones out.
Camera set below the hole.
The pressure mounting.
A birdie means two things:
✅ Course record
✅ Daily win
A miss?
Still a record… but the win slips away.
The stroke… pure.
It never looked like missing.
The ball rolled with grace… held its line… and dropped into the cup like it was always meant to be there.
Birdie. 68. Club record.
Dylan — mate, you’re an absolute legend, and you’ve now cemented your name in Byron Bay Golf Club history as the
Course Record Holder.

🦢 Tranquillity on the 2nd Hole 🌿
Early mornings and quiet afternoons on the 2nd hole often belong to our most graceful residents — the beautiful black swans that call Byron Bay Golf Club home.
Gliding gently through the wetlands, surrounded by lilac and soft purple water lilies, the scene feels more like a living artwork than a golf course. One can’t help but think it’s a palette Monet himself would have admired.
These wetlands are far more than a course feature. They are a vital ecosystem — supporting birdlife, protecting water quality, and providing sanctuary for koalas, marsupials, and countless native species that live and move through our grounds year-round.
BBGC is not just a place to play golf.
It’s a nature paradise, a haven of calm, and a reminder that the game we love exists alongside something even more precious — the environment that sustains it.
